MIAMI — Many potential jurors in the Jose Padilla terrorism-support case say they aren’t sure who directed the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks because they don’t trust reporters or the federal government.
“There are too many ifs, too many things going on,” one male juror said. “I don’t know the whole story.”
Others say they just don’t pay close enough attention to world events to be certain.
“I’m oblivious to that stuff,” one prospective female juror said during questioning this week. “I don’t watch the news much. I try to avoid it.”
The doubts were noted by a significant portion of the more than 160 people who have been questioned individually since jury selection in the case began April 16.

I’m sure they’d start paying attention and caring if they were breathing radioactive dust, but by then it will be a little too late. Padilla, by the way, is on trail for plotting to blow up a radioactive bomb in Chicago for al Queda.
Remember when they blew up a truck bomb in the trade towers in the early 1990’s? Didn’t work, so they laid low and ten years later they tried it again with planes and suceeded. When they get caught trying to blow up radioactive bombs they don’t give up either, they just wait till no one’s looking anymore, till no one cares, and then they try again. Even if it takes a whole decade.
I suggest people start caring about the war we are in. The ones fighting for us need us to care and to pay attention. When we stop caring, we let people like Pelosi screw us over and screw the troops over. If we loose this, we will only have ourselves to blame, because we just didn’t care as a nation.
